The most important thing about writing for me is that I try to do the best to relate it back to me, my story and my experience; offering a clear and transparent view on how I perceive the world around me – form, language, semantics and content go hand in hand. I cannot forget who I am and what I am to the world, when I write.
Who is miss certainly?
miss certainly, formally known as Arootin Mirzakhani, is a researcher, writer, artist, educator, mediator and facilitator.
The main focus of her work is the examination of aesthetics and human relationships in regard to historical, social and (pop)cultural aspects. Complex connections between gaze, emotions, cultural hegemony, queerness, social power and fiction are core elements running through her practice in different media.
She has published in print/digital, has been working in the creative industry and with art, cultural & educational institutions for over 10 years.
